At this important moment of celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, in accordance with the work deployment of the higher-level party organization, we carried out activities to visit and comfort retired old cadres. The company's party committee attaches great importance to this and requires that the party's care and concern be delivered to the hands of the old cadres. The deputy secretary of the party committee, Fu Gangqiang, the chairman of the trade union and minister of the party and mass department, Zhu Xinqiang, and the head of the organization department, Feng Jianqiang, were appointed to represent the company to visit the homes of retired old cadres, conducting visits and comfort, delivering the warmth of the party to the hearts of the old cadres.
On September 29, we visited and comforted six retired personnel from the company, presenting them with commemorative medals for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the country and letters of comfort. We expressed our highest respect and heartfelt blessings to them.
We first visited the old cadre Peng Xingbin, who was hospitalized due to cataracts, in the old cadre ward of a hospital, and delivered the company's condolence money. Then we visited Zhou Xinban, Wang Liande, Wang Qishan, Qu Tianren, and Chen Changfu at their homes, bringing them the care of the organization, wishing them health and longevity. They are all elderly people, some of whom may no longer remember the past or express their feelings, but when the commemorative medal for the "70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China" was handed to them, they were all very excited and repeatedly expressed their gratitude to the party organization. They looked at it again and again, touched it repeatedly, and were reluctant to put it down for a long time. We respectively pinned the commemorative medal for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China on the elderly's chests, distributed letters of comfort, and explained the method of distributing condolence money. We inquired in detail about their health and living conditions, chatted with them about family matters, reminisced about the past, and expressed gratitude to the party. The elderly recalled the glorious years of participating in the revolution and felt the happiness of the present life, with some shedding tears when they spoke emotionally. Secretary Fu Gangqiang urged them to take care of their health.
The elderly all had bright smiles on their faces, were very happy, and wished for the prosperity of the motherland and the vigorous development of the enterprise.
